Fabric capability
Waterproof & Breathable Laminated Fabrics
Laminated fabric development for rainwear, outdoor shells and technical outerwear, with the construction and performance brief agreed before sampling.
- Real sample references
- Flexible development
- Project-specific verification

Buyer value
Why buyers choose this category
Use this category as a development starting point, then confirm the final construction against your project brief.
Application-led construction
Choose material and structure around the garment zone and intended end use.
Sample-led development
Start from a swatch, garment brief or target construction and refine the direction through sampling.
Finishing options
Review surface, handfeel and functional finishing around the intended garment and approval method.
Bulk follow-up
Carry the approved construction, colour and agreed checks into production follow-up.
Development testing support
Partner laboratory support for laminated-fabric projects
Our lamination partner maintains an in-house textile laboratory that can support development-stage material evaluation and internal checks. Methods, targets and any need for independent third-party testing are confirmed per project.
Development brief
Define the material direction before sampling
Use the category to frame material, construction and performance questions first. Then compare verified catalogue fabrics and sample-card references against the same brief.

Reviewed references
Fabric references with verification-first specifications
These are real Sinjo Textile fabric references. We publish composition, weight, construction and performance values only after the underlying specification has been reviewed. Missing fields are intentionally not guessed.
Sample-card references
Additional real fabric references
These are real sample-card references that remain outside the verified catalogue after source review. The photographs show clean fabric surfaces; source-card fields are listed separately so buyers can compare what is known without treating the record as a verified catalogue SKU.

TPU laminated check reference

Buyer questions
Questions to clarify before sampling
What are waterproof and laminated fabrics?
Waterproof and laminated fabrics combine a face fabric with a coating, film, membrane, backer or other bonded layer system. The layer count and materials affect handle, weight and garment construction, but the words “2-layer”, “2.5-layer” or “3-layer” do not by themselves prove a waterproof or breathability value. Those values must be tied to the actual laminate and test method.
What are they used for?
Buyers typically examine laminated directions for rain shells, outdoor jackets, cycling protection, ski or snow garments and other weather-facing panels. Selection depends on the face fabric, barrier system, backer, finished weight, stretch, seam strategy and the required waterproof or breathability test. Sinjo’s catalogue references are useful comparison points, but project-specific performance still requires confirmation on the selected construction.
Which verified weights are currently shown?
The current verified Sinjo catalogue contains 12 references in this category with published weights spanning 150–325 GSM. This is a snapshot of the verified references currently online, not a promise that every weight in the interval is stocked or available. Open an individual SKU page to see its exact verified weight, then request a sample or development review for project-specific availability.
Which constructions can Sinjo develop?
Lamination development should define the intended garment, face fabric direction, layer system, target weight, handle, stretch requirement and any waterproof, breathability or durability method the buyer uses. A reference laminate can establish a starting point for feel and construction. Final layer combination and measurable performance should be confirmed during development instead of being inferred from generic layer-count terminology.
How do buyers request a fabric sample?
Choose a verified SKU from the catalogue and use its Request Sample action. The sample form carries the reference code, fabric name, category and source page into the enquiry so the buyer does not need to re-enter known data. Company, name and email are required; application, quantity, target specification and project timing can be left blank when they are not yet known.
Have a reference fabric or target specification?
Start with your application, construction and performance requirements. After reviewing the brief, we can arrange the appropriate way to exchange photos, swatches, specifications or technical files.
